(Churchill Addresses US Congress, December 1941)
Winston Churchill was half-American. His mother, Jennie Jerome, was the daughter of a Wall Street wheeler-dealer whose ancestors fought for George Washington in the American Revolution. Churchill always said there was Iroquois blood in his veins.
This program goes through Churchill’s eight-decade love affair with the United States. It had all of the phases of a love affair: infatuation, love, romance, respect, conflict, and disappointment.
We hope you will learn some new facts, and certainly recall some old memories of this great man.
