Churchill in Strasbourg 1948-1950
Jane Fraser
is the President of the Stuttering Foundation of America.
In the 1960’s she lived in France and her father-in-law was French General Raymond Gruss, the liberator of Ensisheim in Alsace in 1944. He later became Military Governor Alsace.
Churchill made several visits to the European Parliament in 1948-1950 and was hosted by and lived with General Gruss during those visits. Jane will share many stories of Churchill’s visits and his discussion with her French “Papa"
