83 years ago this summer a tremendous battle was being waged in the skies over England.
It would turn out to be the most critical battle of the Second World War. Without its victory there would have been no platform from which to liberate Western Europe, and the largest navy in the world at that time may well have been turned on the United States.
OUR NOVEMBER MEETING

7300 Brandon Mill Rd Sandy Springs GA 30328
Appropriately at nearly the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Don Pattillo will discuss the ending of the Great War. The whole story is much more complex than what we were all taught in high school or even university for sure.
You will find this one fascinating.
Chick Fil A, cookies, and soft drinks will be served.
Members free. Non-Members $5
We try to schedule around key dates in his life, but he was born so close to Thanksgiving Day (November 30, 1874) and took a new job so close to Mother's Day (May 10, 1940) that it is a real challenge. Past speakers have included: NYT best-selling author Lynne Olson (Troublesome Young Men, Those Angry Days, Last Hope Island), Rutgers University Professor Emeritus Warren Kimball (Forged in War) Dutch politician Felix Klos (Churchill's Last Stand), Emory Professor Patrick Allitt, Ga Tech Professor Jonathan Schneer (Ministers at War)
